The village
celebrated the new millennium on Saturday 15th July 2000.
Main Street
was closed to traffic, and people from all over the parish gathered for tea
in the street. A local traction engine was on
display. A
millennium cake had been prepared and at 4.00pm this was cut by the Chairman of the Parish Council,
Councillor
Ian Griffiths. Live music
and a fire-eater entertained the revelers. A good time was had by all.
