Near the site of Grange Mill was Papplewick Grange, a large mansion. The house was there when the mills were extant, and it is believed that James Robinson continued to live in the house after the mills were sold. The building survived the demolition of the Grange Mills. It was finally pulled down in 1932, and 'Papplewick Lido', a leisure complex, built in the grounds. The 'lido' itself was demolished in 1995, and houses have now been built on the site. |

| This view shows the weir across the R. Leen, where it passed through the grounds of the Papplewick Grange. The house appears in the right (rear) of the picture. On the right is the indoor badminton court built by Julien Cahn when he lived here. In due course this became the site of 'Papplewick Lido'. |
