Size
 950 houses and industrial estate on about 50 hectares.
Existing use
This is all farmland at present.
Advantages
  • The site is big enough to develop new community facilities, eg primary school, shops, medical centre, as well as houses.
  • The industrial area is near the A611 dual carriageway Hucknall by-pass and motorway links.
Disadvantages
  • The site would greatly extend the size of Hucknall into the green belt.
  • The land is all existing Green Belt.
  • The land is mostly high grade agricultural land.
  • A long way from the town centre with poor public transport access.
