Council projects:

From 1995 there has been an HGV weight restriction along the B6011 through the village (Linby Lane / Forest lane) and also along the B683 (Main Street / Blidworth Waye) from the crossroads to the A60 at Ravenshead.
Since then, the Council has continued to try to reduce the speed of traffic.

A traffic calming scheme has been applied to the Forest Lane and Linby Lane 'gateways', later extended to the Moor Road and Blidworth Waye 'gateways'. Since 2005 radar-operated speed signs have been placed on Linby Lane, Forest Lane and Main Street. Periodic traffic surveys and HGV surveys have been undertaken by volunteers. The Council continue to press the police to take action.
