The Churchyard mowers

The Churchyard Mowers is a group of volunteers who help to maintain the churchyard of St James' in Papplewick.  They are divided into two teams, each working in the churchyard for a couple of hours one Saturday morning in each month.  Anyone who wishes to help to maintain the churchyard can volunteer to join one of the mowing teams.

As well as its historic and religious significance, the churchyard is a valuable ecological resource.  We try to maintain and manage habitats in an eco-friendly way.  There is an agreed environmental plan
